Natural cosmetics in tubes, natural cosmetics in dispensers

Contract manufacturer for natural and organic cosmetics

The difference is the source and processing of the raw materials. Natural cosmetics do not necessarily require controlled organic cultivation or production.

The term organic cosmetics is usually only used when a certain proportion of the raw materials come from controlled organic production.

Pros

  • Sustainably produced raw materials
  • Active ingredients with the power of nature
  • Limited maximum content of modified substances
  • As natural as possible

Cons

  • Usually higher costs
  • Lower product performance
  • Less stability
  • Limited choice of implementation options

Good to know

Natural cosmetics and organic cosmetics are often considered to be synonymous, but this is not necessarily true. In Germany, both terms are not legally defined and can therefore be used freely.

In principle, organic cosmetics fulfil even higher standards than natural cosmetics. This is because a higher proportion of the plant-based ingredients used in organic cosmetics come from controlled organic cultivation. This also applies to any animal-based raw materials such as beeswax.
